8 miles of slow paced treadmill miles on Saturday and 2:45 of slow miles on the path today.
Puddles on the path are very deep. My feet were soaked within the first mile. Good news is that once they're wet -- they don't get wetter. It was 40 degrees -- but it still sucked.
Left leg held up for about two hours... the last 45 minutes were ugly.

So did you already lose all your weight? 156 seems good for a dood.
From my end it sounds like either you are getting better or you are getting to be one tough SOB in handling pain. Either way Im impressed. As long as you are not doing irreparable damage, I think your new PAIN threshold may eventually work to your advantage. What I mean is, if the pain ever recedes to manageable levels the concept of regular pain -what the rest of us experience- will seem to you as a complete joke.
I am trying to put a positive spin on your situation, but actually, I also think you are the perfect illustration of Nietszche's well known comment about "What does not destroy me, makes me stronger", or a lesser known one "The value of a thing sometimes does not lie in that which one attains by it, but in what one pays for it" Cheesy stuff, but then again, it has a penetrating sort of quality...
I think you made the right decision to go outside, despite the rain. 100+ miles on the EBC track is really about the most miserable thing I have ever done.

Thanks Ed. I think I'm getting better because I think any toughness I had is waning... I'm better than I've ever been at whining and making excuses. It's pathetic. Thanks also for waxing poetic -- we need reminders every once in a while that your time at Harvard is not being spent in vain.
Danni -- my goal is to get down to 140 -- so I still have at least 16 pounds to go. I'm short and have a slight frame... 156 is a good weight for someone less vertically challenged!
I also want to get to 140, but I keep eating. Also, i think the Tunisian circuits are adding body muscle - gasp!
I seem to be stuck at 150, 5 lbs heavier than my pre-Phoenix weight...
John, are you on Ricks Lemonade diet???
No lemons yet. I dropped all white carbs, pizza, frozen yogurt and bread. If my body could handle more mileage I would REALLY be dropping weight. I want to be under 150 by March 15 and down to 140 by Boston. I doubt i will be able to do much more than simply finish Boston, but I am registered for RNR San Diego. I want to run well there.
