So I finally made it to a track work out with the Cambridge Running Club. Seemed like a nice bunch, they were doing repeat miles at the MIT Indoor track. I was still feverish and could only manage 6 min miles, but they had a couple of guys doing 5:20's... I may be able to run with them when healthy.
So they do their repeat miles in a very interesting way, alternating a fast lap and a slower lap (8 laps to the mile, one lap in 40 sec, 1 lap in 50, and so on). This was a good way to do it as the "slow" lap was actually a chance to rest.
Anyway, I only did 3 repeats and jogged to and from the track for a total of about 10 miles. The flu is still kcicking my ass and this morning I feel like shit.

You know it's bad when...
Your LT is slower than your Marathon pace!
Synopsis: 8 miles total; 5 @ LT @ 6:38 pace.
Josh showed up as Mesh's replacement today. Mesh was nursing a sore hamstring. Josh finished about 20-30 seconds behind me. He ran well really well since for someone who hasn't been working out. I've got no excuse and need to figure out a way to stay under 6:30.
Thursday rematch.
